Our hearts sank after hearing what happened to Glenn and Patricia Scarpelli on July 28. The couple jumped to their deaths, leaving behind two children. Photos of the husband and his suicide note have been revealed.
This picture may be difficult to look at. Glenn Scarpelli‘s tragic suicide made front page news on July 28 after he and his wife Patriciajumped to their deaths from a Manhattan building. Just before daylight at 5:45AM, the couple left their sleeping children (Joseph, 20, and Isabella, 19) at their downtown Manhattan home and went to Glenn’s chiropractic office at 33rd and Madison. That’s where they climbed out from the 9th floor window and jumped.
What’s even more devastating is that they left behind two emotional suicide notes, which were found in Ziploc bags, according to the NY Post. One of them begins with “Patricia and I had everything in life” and mentions their “Achilles heel” — a “financial spiral.” Patricia’s letter reportedly asked that Joseph and Isabella be taken care of. Hours after the NYPD arrived at the scene, a first photo of Glenn was revealed. We found a second photo on his Facebook page where he’s messing around with one of his buddies (see below — he’s the one at the top).
The father-of-two had brown eyes, brown hair, and a charming smile. You would never know that he was battling such heartbreaking demons from looking at that photograph. But then again, isn’t that sadly always the case? It’s devastating that Glenn and Patricia were overwhelmed with financial issues because they seemed like such happy people. Unfortunately, Glenn’s charming smile had disappeared forever when police covered his lifeless body with a white sheet — with Patricia lying right next to him on the street. We pray that their children will be left in good hands. Our hearts go out to the Scarpelli family.
